Paying Fines

Payment may be made by mail using a money order or a cashier’s check made payable to the City of Vestavia Hills. Payment should be sent to the address given below. Do not mail personal checks or cash.

IN PERSON

Payment may be made in person by the defendant or, if another individual comes in to pay the fine on behalf of the defendant, the individual must have an executed Guilty Waiver which has been signed by the defendant.  This waiver is located on the back of the defendant’s copy of the citation or a copy of this waiver may be obtained by clicking here “Guilty Waiver”.  Please print this waiver prior to coming in for payment.  Alabama law requires that any defendant pleading guilty before a magistrate must sign this waiver.

Payments may be made at the Municipal Court office located in the Vestavia Hills City Hall at 1032 Montgomery Highway. Please enter through the double front doors of the Police Department Building located behind Red Lobster Restaurant. Cash, cashier’s checks and money orders are accepted. Master Card, Visa and Discover (which includes a 3% processing fee) are also accepted. Personal checks and company checks will not be accepted. A drop-box is available for payments made in person after hours. It is located in the lobby of the Police Department.

Payment made be made online at https://vestaviacourt.govtportal.com or on this toll free number: 1-866-840-3433. Both options will accept VISA or MASTER CARD or DISCOVER credit or debit card. You will need to enter your ticket number on both options. You will receive a verification number when the transaction is successfully completed. IMPORTANT:  PLEASE ALLOW 3 BUSINESS DAYS FOR YOUR PAYMENT TO PROCESS.  IF YOU HAVE MADE PAYMENT AND THE TICKET APPEARS UNPAID, PLEASE CONTACT A MAGISTRATE 205-978-0121 TO AVOID MAKING A DUPLICATE PAYMENT..

PAYMENT IN FULL MUST BE RECEIVED BY COURT DATE, OR YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE WILL BE SUSPENDED AND A WARRANT ISSUED FOR YOUR ARREST.
