An “Official Notification of Public Hearing” will be or have been mailed to all property owners located within 500’ of the boundaries of the property located at 901 Montgomery Highway. The reason for the request would be to rezone 901 Montgomery Highway from Jefferson County unknown to Vestavia Hills O-1, Office Park District. This is a very old piece of property which was assumed to be office zoning through the years and has been utilized as an office property, however, there’s no City zoning ordinance for the property and the zoning classification cannot be certified. In order for the property to have a legal zoning certification, the owner has submitted a petition for rezoning. If the property were to ever redeveloped, it’d be within the requirements of an O-1 zoning classification as defined in Ordinance Number 3099, Vestavia Hill Zoning Code.
