The purpose of the Vestavia Hills Beautification Board is to encourage Vestavia Hills residents and businesses to actively participate in improvement and maintenance of property. Board members semi-annually judge and award recognition to yards exhibiting excellence in appearance in both winter and spring. The Board sponsors the annual Vestavia Hills Dogwood Luncheon and the Vestavia Hills Belles, who serve as the official city hostesses. Board members also serve as official host/hostesses for the City of Vestavia Hills and encourage residents to maintain and beautify their yards.

Vestavia Hills Dogwood Luncheon & Fashion Show
April 8, 2026 | 10am | Vestavia Hills Civic Center
Don’t miss this signature spring event! Doors open at 10am for the silent auction followed by the fashion show, presentation and luncheon begin at 11am. This year’s fashion show will once again featuring the latest trends from area boutiques and clothiers. Tickets are $50 each and must be purchased in advance. Tickets may be purchased via Venmo (@vh-dogwood or click the QR code) or by check. If using Venmo, include your full name in the notes section. If purchasing multiple tickets, be sure to include the names of the attendees to be seated at your table. Yard Judging

Each year, during the spring and winter (holiday) seasons, Beautification Board members conduct yard judging. Yards are judged on how well they are maintained and in appearance. Winter (holiday) yards are judged on their appearance during the day and night. Winter judging typically occurs early December; Spring yard judging occurs late March/early April.
