6: Dogwood Luncheon, Vestavia Country Club, 11am-2pm
Don’t miss this signature spring event! This year’s Dogwood Luncheon will feature a silent auction and guest speaker Whitney Miller. Whitney is the season one winner of Fox’s reality cooking show, Masterchef. She is a chef, cookbook author, recipe and menu developer, food stylist and more! 7: Mastering Happy Hour, Vestavia City Center, 2-6:30pm
We will have a tv screen from Backyard Jumbotron playing The Masters Tournament from 2-6:30pm! FREE and family-friendly.

Join us for a party on the patio at The Heights Village, a lifestyle retail shopping center! There will be food, shopping and music!

8: VHHS RISE Day, VHHS, 4-10pm
FREE admission – Live music by student bands – Food and Games – Luminary Ceremony honoring those who have fought a battle against cancer.

8: Dogwood Festival Spring Yard Judging BEGINS
Vestavia Hills Beautification Board members will conduct the annual Spring Yard Judging April 8-18, 2022. Yards are judged on their appearance and how well they are maintained. Winners in each area will receive a certificate of appreciation from Mayor Ashley Curry and will host a “Winning Yard” sign. We look forward to seeing the beautiful yards and blooms in our city!

9: Dogwood Dink Pickleball Tournament, SHAC Pickleball Complex, 8am-4pm
Registration is open NOW through March 31 for the Dogwood Dink Pickleball Tournament! Register online at https://vhrecreation.activityreg.com/selectactivity_t2.wcs. This round robin-style event is for doubles and mixed doubles. Don’t have a partner? No worries … We will match you with a suitable partner on the day of the event! 15: Easter Eggstravaganza, Wald Park, 11am
Visit the baby animal petting zoo, take a picture with the Easter Bunny, make a craft and find a prize egg! This non-competitive, relaxed egg hunt is for children ages 6 and under.

16: Battle of the Bands, Rocky Ridge Business District, 5-9pm
Rocky Ridge Entertainment district will host the the third annual Battle of the Bands competition at Rocky Ridge Plaza. This live music competition features bands from area middle schools and high schools competing for a total of $2,000 in prize money. Bands are judged on criteria including musicianship, showmanship and creativity. Enjoy food and beverages from nearby restaurants and browse retails shops, all within walking distance.  Bands perform 3-4 song sets and winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event. First place and second place prizes are $750 and $250, respectively.

18: Historical Society Presents: Who Designed Vestavia Hills, Vestavia Hills City Hall, 2pm
Historical documents archived in the Library of Congress indicate that Vestavia Hills was designed by Olmsted Brothers, the amazing landscape architecture firm established in 1898 by brothers John Charles Olmsted and Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., sons of landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. Their firm designed major cities and projects nationwide, including Central Park, Washington D.C. and Biltmore Estate. Join the Vestavia Hills Historical Society as Alan Coshatt presents the famous Olmsted Brothers and their early influence on Vestavia Hills.

Explore everything Liberty Park has to offer – boutique shopping, spas, multiple restaurants and more!

22: Concert Series: Sean Michael Ray, Wald Park Grand Lawn, 7pm
Bring a chair or blanket, wear your brightest white and enjoy great music that will have the whole family dancing! Sean Michael Ray will take the stage at 7pm at the Wald Park Grand Lawn. All ages are welcome to enjoy this FREE, family-friendly outdoor concert sponsored by the Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest!

23: Garden Club Yard Sale, Scout Square, 8am-2pm
Shop the treasures that have been donated by more than 50 members of the Garden Club! Proceeds benefit the Sybil Temple Foundation and will used for the continued maintenance of the Temple.

23: Wing Ding, Vestavia Hills City Hall, 4-7pm
Join Leadership Vestavia Hills for a day of fun competition where we put our local chefs to the test. Visitors will enjoy great chicken wings, live music and a children’s area full of games and activities.

Join Vestavia Hills Parks and Recreation as we celebrate all spring rec sports – music, food, games, parade and crafts! All ages! Be sure to paint a Kindness Rock at the Library in the Forest tent. Rocks will be hidden in parks around Vestavia Hills. When you find a rock later this spring, be sure to snap a photo with your rock and post to social media with #pictureyourselfieVH.

4: Concert Series: Jenni’s Mixtape, Wald Park Grand Lawn, 7pm
Shake off the winter blues and celebrate ALL spring rec sports at the Spring Sports Kick-off Celebration! There will be food, fun, and entertainment. Then we’ll mix it up with an outdoor concert by Jenni’s Mixtape!
