Parade & Party in the Park

Note the new start time for this year’s parade!

Enjoy the city’s official holiday parade! The parade begins at 4pm near The Bray in Liberty Park and concludes with a Party in the Park at the newly completed Liberty Park Great Lawn.

In addition to a later start time so that attendees can enjoy festive holiday lights, one notable change this year is a Liberty Park Tree Lighting immediately following the parade. Liberty Park Joint Venture has purchased a large outdoor Christmas tree that will be displayed on The Great Lawn and lit as part of the “Party in the Park” celebration. (The City’s official Christmas tree lighting will continue to be held on November 19 at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center. The tree lighting at Liberty Park is a separate, secondary celebration taking place during the Party in the Park following the parade.)

Those interested in participating in the parade, entering a float or becoming a sponsor for the Party in the Park can register online by completing the “Holiday Parade & Party in the Park” form through the City’s online portal at https://vestaviahillsal.portal.opengov.com/categories/1086.
