All annexation/vacation applications require an owner’s affidavit PRIOR to submission of a petition. The affidavit must be executed by the owner in front of a notary, then scanned and uploaded along with all necessary drawings, etc., when submitting the application through the online portal.
To apply for annexation, contact the office of the City Clerk – email or 205.978.0131 – to provide the property address and reason for the annexation request. Note that the property address MUST be entered to our online application database PRIOR to application submission.
