2025 Vestavia Hills Dogwood Festival
The Vestavia Hills Dogwood Festival is the longest running festival in the state – celebrating 61 years in 2025! It is comprised of multiple events taking place city-wide, including Wing Ding, Heights Hangout, Dogwood Days, Battle of the Bands and so much more … there is something for everyone! March Events
1: Dogwood Dink Pickleball Tournament
Vestavia Hills Civic Center, 8am
The Dogwood Dink brings pickleball enthusiasts together for a day of fun and exciting game play! Don’t have a partner? Don’t worry … We will match you with a suitable partner on the day of the event! 1: VHHS Fun Run (RISE)
Vestavia Hills High School, 8am
Kick-off the day with music and games, along with running, walking or even skipping around Buddy Anderson Field at VHHS. Meet at VHHS football stadium at 8am for an 8:30am start! 1: VHHS Rebel 5K Color Run (RISE)
Vestavia Hills High School, 9am
Meet at the VHHS front parking lot for the annual Rebel Run and wind through the neighborhoods near VHHS with color stations along the route! 2: Paw-Di Gras Parade
Meadowlawn Park, 3:30-6:30pm
Dress your fur baby in their Mardi Gras best and be a part of the inaugural Paw-Di Gras pet parade. The parade route will begin at Meadownlawn Park and proceed to The Heights Village for an after party at Troup’s Pizza!
15: VHHS Character Party & Touch-A-Truck Kids Day (RISE)
Vestavia Hills High School, 9am
This annual event is for the young or young at heart! There will be 80 costumed characters, including all your Disney favorites and Superhero friends. 15: Teen Art Market
Library in the Forest, 1-4pm
Come support local teen artists (ages 11-18) at the Library in the Forest’s inaugural Art Market. The artists will display and sell their art onsite! For more information, visit vestavialibrary.org/teenartmarket.

Members of the Vestavia Hills Beautification Board will tour Vestavia Hills in search of the most beautiful yards. Winners will be recognized upon completion of the judging period on April 6.
April Events
2: Dogwood Luncheon
Vestavia Country Club, 10am
Don’t miss this signature spring event! Doors open at 10am for the silent auction and the program and luncheon will begin at 11am. This highlight of this year’s event will be the return of the amazing fashion show featuring the latest trends from area boutiques and clothiers. Tickets are $40 each and must be purchased in advance. Tickets may be purchased via Venmo (@vh-dogwood) or by check. If using Venmo, include your full name in the notes section. If purchasing multiple tickets, be sure to include the names of the attendees to be seated at your table. 4 & 5: Hunt the Heights
Cahaba Heights Business District, 10am-5pm

5: Mini Masters
Location TBD, 9am
Putt the day away at the inaugural Mini Masters – an 18 hole mini golf course tournament. More details to come, including the link to register. A portion of the proceeds benefit VHHS RISE. Brought to you by the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce with title sponsor, Golffice.

10 & 11: Hunt Liberty Park
Liberty Park Businesses
Participating Liberty Park businesses will hide eggs filled with candy, coupons or prizes in their business on April 10 and 11. Patrons that find the eggs will be able to use the coupons in Liberty Park businesses or claim their prize at the sponsoring business. Come see all that Liberty Park has to offer!
12: VHHS RISE Day
Vestavia Hills High School, 4-10pm
Admission is FREE to this family-friendly, community-wide festival celebrating the culmination of the VHHS RISE fundraising activities. This inspirational event features food, games, live music by student bands and a luminary ceremony honoring those who have battled against cancer.
12: Historical Society Self-Guided Home Tour Begins
City-wide
The Vestavia Hills Historical Society is sponsoring a self-guided driving tour of historical sites in Vestavia Hills. Click HERE to view and/or download a summary of each site and its location. 18: Easter Extravaganza
Wald Park, 11am-1pm
Join us for spring fun as we hunt eggs, visit with the big bunny, play games, eat snacks and pet cute animals! Egg drop begins promptly at 11:05am, so don’t miss the it! All ages. Hosted by the Library in the Forest.
19: Battle of the Bands
Rocky Ridge Plaza, 5-9pm
Rocky Ridge Entertainment district will host the 6th annual Battle of the Bands competition at Rocky Ridge Plaza. This live music competition features bands from area middle schools and high schools competing for a total of $2,000 in prize money. Bands are judged on criteria including musicianship, showmanship and creativity. Enjoy food and beverages from nearby restaurants and browse retails shops, all within walking distance. Bands perform 3-4 song sets and winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event. First place and second place prizes are $750 and $250, respectively. Interested in sponsoring the event? 21: Historical Society Presentation: Patrick H. Boone, Esq.
Vestavia Hills City Hall, 2pm
In the past 45+ years, Patrick Boone has worked with numerous administrations in the City of Vestavia Hills, school superintendents and board members, and has played a part in the city’s growth, from the inception of the school system to the annexations of Cahaba Heights and Liberty Park.
22: Dogwood Prayer Breakfast

This year’s speakers are amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) advocates, Gary & Carol Godfrey and Kerry & Tonja Goode. 26: Wing Ding

Join Leadership Vestavia Hills for a day of fun competition where we put our local chefs to the test. Visitors will enjoy great chicken wings, live music and a children’s area full of games and activities.
