Vestavia Hills is fortunate to have strong community support for its parks and recreation programming. The Parks and Recreation Board, which is appointed by resolution of the City Council, provides governance including policies and planning for Vestavia Hills Parks and Recreation. The Vestavia Hills Parks and Recreation Foundation (VHPRF) partners with the Board and with the City to raise support for parks and recreational facilities and programs. The Vestavia Hills Parks and Recreation Board typically meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center. Board meetings typically occur every odd-numbered month; work sessions, which may be followed by a board meeting, typically occur every even-numbered month.
