Items available to be recycled include electronics, paper and household hazardous waste.* In addition, VHPD officers will be on-site to collect unneeded and/or expired medications for disposal. (Needles will NOT be accepted.)

*Proof of Vestavia Hills residency required for hazardous waste disposal.

Republic Services will be accepting paint & paint related products, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, bulbs and batteries at this event. See the attached flyer for additional information, including the full list of items being accepted for recycling and any applicable charges.

Items that will NOT be accepted: tires, gas or propane cylinders, acids or corrosive liquids, appliances, asbestos and motor oil/lawn mower oil. (Motor oil/lawn mower oil can be taken to any Express Oil location for proper disposal.)
