The Vestavia Hills Zoning Staff is made up of the City Clerk (Zoning Official), the City Planner (Requests for Rezoning, Plats, Variances and DRB review), the Building Official (Building Codes and Plan Reviews), the City Engineer (Engineering, Public Improvements and Access), GIS Technician (GIS mapping) and the Fire Marshal (Fire Codes). The Zoning Staff meets every Tuesday at 9:00 AM to analyze petitions filed for presentation for various boards and to offer review by appointment to those who might have preliminary plans and/or requests to submit to various boards. These information sessions may be scheduled by emailing preliminary information such as site, plans, drawings, etc., to Rebecca Leavings. An email will be returned confirming the date and time of the meeting. Anyone wishing to submit a petition for rezoning or conditional us is encouraged to first consult with the Zoning Staff.
